2nd Rotation - SUMMER 2020
VOLTAGE REGULATOR INVESTIGATION
Investigation into swapping out a buck converter to a low-dropout voltage regulator (LDO) to see if there can be cost reductions.  Talking to various TI & ST representatives for component suggestions and pricing, I performed calculations to see whether or not the IC would be able to dissipate the power generated.
GETOP8 UI BOARD DESIGN CHANGES
The GETOP8 UI board needed to be updated for component harmonization across all of the electronic boards in Dish.
Various components need to be added and changed, with design updates needed in both the schematic and layout.

FRACAS RESOLUTION (Failure Reporting & Corrective Action System)
Fuses on the dishwasher kept blowing up on the test loop due to an inrush of current caused by an unknown issue.
For a duration of a couple days, I had hooked up a dishwasher on a test station with an oscilloscope and tried to find out what the cause of this issue was.  From various oscilloscope measurements and engineer advice, we found that the issue was due to an insufficient delay between the neutral break relay and the triac that caused an inrush of current which blew up the fuse.
